GATE testing coming up

On February 7th, Victoria will be testing third graders to determine eligibility for inclusion in the GATE [Gifted and Talented Education] program.  In order to be tested, a student must be nominated by either a teacher or parent.  If you are the parent of a third grader and you would like your child to be tested, just let his or her teacher know, or ask in the office.

Victoria's Closet

Victoria's Closet is a service we offer to the Victoria Community.  Once a month we give away new and gently-used clothing.  We have clothing for all ages, and all are welcome.

Guests of Victoria's Closet must have an appointment.  You may make an appointment by stopping by the Victoria Family Resource Center or by calling (909) 307-2483.

The remaining days that Victoria's closet will be open this year are:  February 16th, March 22nd, April 19th and May 17th.  Times are 9 AM to 11 AM.
Site Programs

A Peace Builder School

Our school continues its tradition as an outstanding example of how students representing 18 different cultures and languages are able to successfully work together to grow academically, socially, and emotionally in an atmosphere of high expectations and acceptance.

A Thinking Maps Site

Our school is a Thinking Maps site. Students in all grades use Thinking Maps as a common visual language for learning. There are 8 maps to help students filter and demonstrate their understanding, and each map is linked to a specific thinking process. There is a map for:
* Defining
* Describing
* Ordering
* Comparing & Contrasting
* Classifying
* Analyzing Causes & Effects
* Seeing Parts-to-Whole relationships
* Understanding Analogies.
